Property news stories

8th January 2010, Issue #59

Happy New Year and welcome to the first MMS property news round-up of the decade. Unsurprisingly, the news is dominated by predictions of what the year ahead holds for the property market.

As the temperature outside continues to plummet some predict that property prices are unlikely to thaw in 2010 – good news for some, but not for all. Others cite the unexpectedly strong end to the 2009 market as sign of more good things to come. More positively, there are reports that 2010 starts with house prices higher than they were a year ago; and things are definitely on the up in the New Homes market. And for those whose New Year resolution involves adopting a greener way of life, there’s a host of ideas as to how you can reduce your home’s carbon footprint, while Kevin McCloud unveils his grand designs inspired by the Mumbai slums…
