Good news continues to flow in this week’s newsletter with claims from a Bank of England policymaker that UK property prices will bounce back, and there are more positive stories regarding mortgage lending; costs have fallen 20 per cent in the last year and there are now over 140 mortgage products for people borrowing with just a 10 per cent deposit, this is twice as many as there were last year.
Elsewhere, Google may be changing the face of real estate forever, with the testing of a new British house-sales website – which if it works, would enable people to cut out the middle man and sell their property themselves. And we take a look at the top ten locations and why prices will be rising there in 2010.
At the other end of the scale we have Britain’s most energy-efficient home costing less than £60 a year to heat and why house buying is more stressful than having a baby!
