Welcome to this week’s property news round-up from MMS. There’s some good news with regard to house prices this week with figures showing that they’re on the up. According to the latest index UK residential property prices are still rising and are now 9% higher than a year ago.
On the mortgage front the Post Office will be starting to offer mortgages aimed at first time buyers with just a 10 per cent deposit which will hopefully have a positive impact on the market as the number of mortgages approved for house buyers fell for the third month in a row during February.
And finally, in-keeping with Easter and today being April Fool’s Day, Britain's newspapers kept their readers entertained with some hilarious April Fool's stories…
